“The Focus is the Music”
I spent the weekend in Maryland and I walk away with more than the usual high from doing shows, I walk away inspired by the mass of passionate people that have created a music community in every sense of the word.
It is not comprised by all musicians. It is a partnership between artists and diehard music lovers. I must impress, these music lovers are not people with simple lives. They are spouses, parents, business owners, employees who work really hard and yet they still not only go out to hear live music several times a week, they produce, coordinate and promote live music. To use the word tireless seems glib because, as much as I can’t imagine them not being exhausted, they are some of the most peaceful, happiest, fulfilled, invigorated people I have encountered.
So why do I feel the need to share this? Sure, I’m a musician, so a community that supports what I do, well that’s very appealing. But it is more than that. It is my inner voice affirming “see, this is so completely possible.”
I am sharing, so maybe you will consider the next time you feel “too tired” to go out, perhaps you’ll be inspired. Perhaps you’ll take a chance and go, and then return home feeling more energized and more alive than you did on the way out the door. Perhaps you’ll meet a new friend. Perhaps you’ll hear a song that touches your heart so deeply, it changes your world view. Just go. Open your heart. Share. XO Marci
Tonight’s dinner. Spaghetti with turkey and veg sauce. Yum!
I am trying to see what I can do with this to test for a future project :-)
Let me know if this works...

I'll be joined by my talented buddy David Warner Cook on guitar AND, we've confirmed that weather permitting, there will be a private audience scope viewing! I may be more excited about that, but only a little . Custer Observatory …
